How Is This Calculated?
We use the standard formula: Time = File Size ÷ Speed
The tricky part is unit conversion. ISPs advertise speed in Megabits per second (Mbps), but file sizes are in Megabytes (MB) or Gigabytes (GB). Since 1 Byte = 8 bits:
• File size: 200 GB = 1,638,400 Megabits
• Speed: 1 Mbps
• Time: 1,638,400 ÷ 1 = 1638400 seconds ≈ 455 hours 6 minutes
